Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel was not on the substitute bench as Chelsea were held 1-1 by Champions Leicester City at Stamford Bridge. Emmanuel Emenike and Victor Moses came on from the bench in West Ham’s 2-1 loss to Stoke City at Britannia Stadium in the final game of the Premier League season on Sunday, but hardly made a mark.

Having been coach Guus Hiddink’s most trusted player in the midfield since taking over from former boss José Mourinho, Mikel failed to make the bench for the first time even though his absence didn’t make any difference on the team.

Cesc Fàbregas put the home team ahead in the 66th minute through a penalty before Leicester City’s Danny Drinkwater leveled scores in the 82nd minute.

Emenike and Moses played cameo roles as West Ham lost 2-1 to Stoke City. Both players came on as a substitute in the 61st and 86th minutes, respectively, but overall it was a good cap to a remarkable loan spell for the two Nigerians.
