Ivory Coast midfielder, Kolo Touré will face a stiff test as Liverpool tackle Manchester United in the round of 16 of the Europa League at Anfield on Thursday.
Touré has failed to command a regular shirt this season, making cameo roles for the Reds both under former boss Brendan Rodgers and current boss Jurgen Klopp.
Having managed to score one goal in 17 appearances in all competitions this season, Touré will be aiming to finish the season on a high by beating Man United and going on to win the trophy.
The 195th competitive meeting between the two clubs is their first in European competition, and will be the only time two English clubs have faced off in the competition since Liverpool played Tottenham in April 1973.
Also, Gabon and Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be hoping to end Tottenham’s fairy tale in the round of 16 of the Europa League on Thursday at the Westfalenstadion.
Aubameyang’s contribution in Dortmund’s title chase in the domestic league has also been replicated in the European scene with his breath-taking goals.
In addition, Super Eagles midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi’s poor playing time in the colors of Lazio may witness a turn around as the team trip to face Sparta Prague.
