Buhari Appoints Dakuku Peterside as NIMASA Chief

Dakuku Peterside, the erstwhile gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State has been compensated by President Muhammadu Buhari. He has been appointed as the helmsman of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).

Peterside recently lost at the Supreme Court level to his rival, Governor Nyeson Wike.

He holds a Doctorate degree in Management Science from the University of Port Harcourt, a Masters in Business Administration, and a Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology.

He was a member of the House of Representatives from 2011 to 2015 and served as the Chairman of the House Committee on Petroleum Resources, downstream.

Interestingly, Dakuku’s new assignment is under the Ministry of Transport overseen by the erstwhile Governor of the State, Rotimi Amaechi.
