CAF Champions League: Enyimba Face Vital’O, Warri Wolves Face Al-Merrikh

Reigning Nigerian league champions, Enyimba international will face Vital’O of Burundi in the first round of the CAF Champions League.

The Aba Warriors dispatched Ugandas Vipers 2 – 1 on aggregate to qualify to the next round. The first leg had ended 1 – 0 in favor of the Vipers before Enyimba’s 2 – 0 win in the return leg on Sunday.

The winners of the first round matches will progress to the second round with the winners going into the group stage of the competition.

First leg matches of the first round will be played between March 11 – 13, while second leg matches will be played between March 18 – 20, 2016.

Meanwhile, Warri Wolves have been pitched alongside Al-Merrikh of Sudan in the first round.

The Warri based side was to play sporting club Praia Cruz of São Tomé and Príncipe but the island club withdrew which gave the Wolves a pass into the first round.
