Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho was part of the victorious Manchester City side that defeated Liverpool 3 – 1 via a penalty shootout in the final of the FA Cup at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.
Both teams started the game like a house on fire as Man City and Liverpool couldn’t convert some of the chances that came their way in the early part of the encounter.
The first half ended with no goal thanks to the alertness of the two goalkeepers who kept their goal-line properly.
However, Fernandinho opened the floodgate of goals in the 49th minute as he slotted the ball into the net for the first goal.
Meanwhile, Phillipe Coutinho pegged the Citizens back in the 83rd minute to take the game into extra time, which didn’t produce any goal.
Man City eventually stole the show during the penalty kickoff as they scored three against Liverpool’s one penalty kick to win the FA Cup at Wembley.
