NFF Yet to Receive Oliseh’s Resignation Letter

Media Officer to the Nigeria Football Federation; Ademola Olajire has admitted that Sunday Oliseh’s resignation as coach of the Super Eagles should be put aside because he should have been sacked before now but for the intervention of the Sports Minister, Solomon Dalung.

Olajire, confirmed that Oliseh has not had a fantastic relationship with the football house after his outburst on his YouTube page, of which he criticized the NFF for failing to keep to their promises.

“Oliseh is gone and we have to move forward. As far as we are concerned, it is good riddance to bad rubbish. He is not the kind of person we thought he was,” Olajire told the Nigerian Television Authority on Friday morning.

“He went on YouTube to abuse Nigerians. The Minister pleaded with the Federation to allow him to remain in place for our next two matches. As you can see, he did not even wait for those matches.

“I cannot tell you what exactly they will do, but I can tell you that we will impanel a new set of technical hands for the team. And whatever Oliseh has mishandled in his few months in charge, they will have to right.”

Meanwhile, despite reports that the Nigeria Football Federation has received Sunday Oliseh’s resignation letter, Ademola Olajire has revealed that the NFF are yet to receive an official letter to that respect.

“We have not received a resignation letter from him,” he said.

“Oliseh was not employed on Twitter, when we get his resignation letter we will know what next to do,” Olajire concluded.
