Ahead of the team’s double-header clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt next month in the 2017 African Cup of Nations, Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has reiterated that he would travel to England to visit the trio of John Obi Mikel, Victor Moses and Odion Ighalo for a pep talk.
The three-time African champions sit second with four points behind group leaders Egypt, who have six points after two matches played. The match which could determine the sole winner of the group, will come up, March 25.
Oliseh, who doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned, revealed that he’s delighted with the form of the trio in the Barclay’s Premier League.
“I want to meet the players in England this weekend as I have already visited Holland and Belgium,” Oliseh said in a radio interview, on Tuesday.
“Our players are hitting reasonable form at the moment – Ighalo is doing exceptionally well, Victor Moses is looking fit, but we have to wait and see how fit he is.
“With the bad weather in Europe now, there is no better place than sunny Nigeria for me to be to eat pounded yam, but I now hope to meet the [technical] committee when the camp opens in about two weeks,” Oliseh concluded.
