Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has revealed that the forthcoming CHAN tournament will be difficult for all participating teams.
The tournament which will kick-off in Kigali, Rwanda this weekend will be Oliseh’s first appearance. The team which has remained unbeaten in their tune-up matches after drawing with Angola 1 – 1 and beating Ivory Coast 1 – 0 in pre-training camp in Pretoria, South Africa, will be hoping to write their names in gold by winning the trophy.
In Nigeria’s first appearance in 2014, the team came third in South Africa and Oliseh said the team is ready for the tough challenge.
“Everyone will be out to fight us (in Rwanda),” Oliseh said. “The players can’t be considered as a B team because they have trained with the A team which should serve as a morale booster for them” he added.
Nigeria begins their 2016 CHAN campaign on Monday, January 18, against Niger. They will also battle Tunisia and Guinea in the group stage.
