At full-time England’s Chelsea FC celebrated a victory over Portugal’s FC Porto. Porto offered little in the match to stop the Blues at Stamford Bridge.
The Portuguese team was unsuccessful in depositing a shot into the back of the net in the first half and rarely worried Blues keeper, Thibaut Courtois in the second half.
Chelsea secured their place in the next round of the Champions League with a 2 – 0 win.
This win comes as pleasant news after an all too devastating and embarrassing loss at their home field to AFC Bournemouth in an English Premier League match, on Sunday, December 6, 2015. Bournemouth had lost their last eight games prior to the surprising win of 1 – 0, against the Blues that evening. Chelsea currently remains at number 14 on the English Premier League Table, which is abysmal for the contenders that usually remain among the top four.
