The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF confirmed the visitation of two FIFA officials to Nigeria on the 24th of July 2016 as part of strategic development to enhance growth in the Nigerian football system. The official visit was planned after a meeting that took place between NFF and FIFA members in Paris, France over the weekend.
FIFA president, Gianni Infantino and FIFA secretary, Fatma Samoura will arrive in Abuja on July 24 for a courtesy visit to the president of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa in Abuja as part of the two-working days that will mark their official visit to Nigeria. Delegates of the Africa Football Association are also expected in Abuja from various African countries for a meeting in Abuja during the visitation.
Moreover, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode will also host both FIFA and other football Association presidents from African countries in Lagos for a meeting. A crucial meeting will also take place with the League Management Company, (LMC) in Lagos, to revamp the entire football league system across Africa.
