President Muhammadu Buhari has urged the aggrieved militant group in the Niger Delta popularly known as the Avengers to work in the direction that will help the interest of Nigerians rather than blowing up oil and gas pipelines within the region.
The number one citizen of the country made this call after the new militant group blew up Escravos pipeline in Warri, Delta State on Friday.
Their recent attacks have affected the level of power generation and crude oil production in the country.
On May 9 and May 13 of this month, the group claimed responsibility for attacks on Chevron pipelines, causing more harm than good to the nation’s economy.
However, President Buhari has urged them to embrace dialogue so that they can work on the Amnesty program.
