Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo got back to his scoring ways as he netted a goal in Watford’s 4-2 loss to relegated Norwich City while John Obi Mikel played all 90 minutes in Chelsea’s 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Anfield in Wednesday’s Premier League rescheduled matches.
Ighalo last scored for his side in their 2-1 win over Arsenal in an FA Cup quarterfinal clash in March, this time he scored in the 51st minute to increase his goal tally to 15 this season.
Meanwhile, Mikel played in an unusual position as defensive back in the absence of John Terry and Branislav Ivanović to ensure the Blues escaped with a point at Anfield.
He showed no signs of being jittery as he coped with the pressure mounted by the Reds at the tail end of the match.
A goal from Eden Hazard in the 32nd minute was cancelled by Christian Benteke in the 90th minutes to the delight of their manager Jürgen Klopp.
