The Super Eagles duo of John Obi Mikel and Emmanuel Emenike couldn’t help their team to earn the maximum points as Chelsea played out a 2-2 draw against West Ham in Saturday’s Barclay’s Premier League at Stamford Bridge.
West Ham took the lead in the 17th minute before Cesc Fàbregas’ beautiful free kick to level scores for the home team.
Andy Carroll’s cool finish in the 62nd minute almost gave the away team their first win at Stamford Bridge since 2002 before a Fàbregas’ late penalty ended the game on 2-2 draw.
Mikel was on the starting line from start to finish and made an impressive contribution devoid of any yellow cards.
However, Emenike came on as a substitute in the second half and made a pass to Andy Carroll in the 18 yard box which was intercepted by the Blues Gary Cahill.
