Neglected Super Eagles striker, Peter Osaze Odemwingie has left Stoke City to join Bristol City for the remaining part of the season.
Odemwingie was part of the senior national team that failed to cross the round of 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil, but he did score in the team’s 1-0 match over Bosnia in the second group stage.
The Nigerian international has played for West Brom, Cardiff and Stoke City and will be facing a new lease of life with Championship side, Bristol City.
A recurring injury has not really helped Odemwingie’s progress regardless of his age, however, he has managed to score five goals in 31 appearances for the Potters in all competitions.
“I’m looking forward to working with him,” Bristol head coach Lee Johnson told the club website.
“I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring someone of Peter’s quality in; he’ll provide us with experience and hopefully goals in one form or another.”
Bristol City are placed 20th on the English Championship log with 37 points from 36 games.
