The beginning of 2016 would have been a tantalizing moment for Super Eagles winger, Ahmed Musa who was linked to join Arsenal and Leicester City during the January transfer window.
Despite failing to pull the big string to join other Nigerians who are playing in England, the former Kano Pillars star has insisted that Arsenal and Leicester came knocking at his door for a possible move to England.
He also confirmed that he doesn’t want to be a bench warmer and would desire to team up with Arsenal if only he would be playing regularly at the Emirates Stadium.
“What club? I do not care!” Musa told Championat.
“But Musa has to play, you know. I cannot sit on the bench. So I will have to go to the Premier League club that will believe in me. I would be happy if I was wanted by Arsenal. I have supported the team since the age of six. Nwankwo Kanu has been my idol since childhood. It will be fantastic to play for Arsenal” Musa said.
He added, “I will not hide it – Leicester actually came to our club. But I repeat that I want to finish the season with CSKA to help them to win a championship, and then think about changing teams.”
