As fashion week continues to make its stop across global fashion destinations, London Fashion Week brought some Nigerian goodness via the exhibition at Somerset House London as curated under Lagos Fashion Week by the Style House Files, sponsored by the Nigerian British Council.
The week-long exhibition which had on display, presentations from some of Nigeria’s creative design houses was a part of an International Fashion Showcase which included 21 other countries.
One of the fashion brands included in the exhibition is Onalaja, a contemporary women’s wear brand with a play on heritage and artisan aesthetics, fusing together for the modern woman a soft blend of culture and luxury through craftsmanship and design.
On the heels of the IFS, Onalaja has released its Spring /Summer 16 collection, a musing blend of color, femininity and structure staying true to the brand’s theme of being “unconventional but wearable”.
The collection embodies the new age woman, who has business meetings, dinner galas and art exhibitions to attend. The collection is a futuristic play on classic wardrobe staples but with none of the stale basics of mundane dressing.
The Onalaja Spring16 collection is a vibrant burst of color accentuated by fine tailoring and a healthy dose of chic.
