Kenya’s Kipton Wins Lagos City Marathon

Abraham Kipton of Kenya emerged the winner of the maiden edition of the 2016 Access Bank Lagos City Marathon, on Saturday.

He clinched the prize with a two-hour, 16 minute and 21 second time.

The Kenyan will go home with a whopping $50, 000 for winning the tournament.

Halima Husein Kayo of Ethiopia emerged winner in the female category with a two-hour, 38 minute and 36 second time.

Emmanuel Gyang Gwom was the first Nigerian to cross the finish line but ranked 7th in overall position.
