Manchester City manager, Manuel Pellegrini has admitted that Super Eagles midfielder, Kelechi Iheanacho has a bright future with the team and won’t be sold to any club during the January transfer window.
Iheanacho, who has been registered in the round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League which will kick-off in February, has played a cameo role, of which he has managed to score five goals in all competitions.
Interestingly, the Nigerian international was included in the squad that faced Everton, at the Etihad Stadium, on Wednesday in the Barclay’s Premier League.
“Kelechi has been involved from the first game of this season,” Pellegrini said ahead of his side’s Premier League clash at home.
“It’s important for Kelechi to play like he did against Norwich. He’s the answer when you ask if we’re going to buy another striker — we have Kelechi” Pellegrini added.
