Ogude’s Wife Finally Released

ogude_and_wifeIt was good news for family and friends of Super Eagles midfielder, Fegor Ogude, when his wife (Memunat) who was kidnapped six days ago was released by her abductors on Sunday night.

This piece of information was confirmed by the media officer for Nigeria’s U-23 team, Timi Ebikagboro and a close family friend to Ogude via a twitter account.

He wrote, “To God be the glory, the wife of SE (Super Eagles) player Fegor Ogude, Memunat has been released, she was released minutes ago, and is now with her family.”

You may recall that Memunat was abducted in her family home in Warri, Delta by some unknown gunmen who demanded a huge ransom for her release.

Ogude was part of the Super Eagles squad that won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa after beating Burkina Faso 1-0 in the final thanks to Sunday Mba’s first half strike.
